Agency rates and guide to nanny salaries

Permanent Nanny (part time or full time) placements	6x weekly net salary
(so if your nanny is doing 10 hours three times a week at £10 per hour this would come to the sum of £1800)
Temporary Nanny agency fee per session	£20 with a minimum of three day booking fee

Salaries for Nannies in London & Abroad

Please Note: The values below are quoted in terms of net salary.

Live-in Nanny £250-500/week	(standard 5-day work week)
Live-in Nanny £400-700/week	(6-day work week or 24-hour care)
Live-out Nanny £8-12 net per hour

*(£7 per hour if she has less than 3 years experience or 2 years experience coupled with a childcare qualification).

Temporary Nanny	£8 – 10 per hour *(+ ?0/day agency fee)
After School Nanny	£8 – 15 per hour
Weekend Nanny	£10 – 12 per hour

Terms and Conditions

Agency Terms and Conditions

1.  Sleeping Babies will only undertake business on the following Terms and Conditions: These terms are legally binding, so please read them carefully. The acceptance of a candidate introduced by the Agency will be deemed as acceptance of our Terms and Conditions of Business and the Associated Schedule of Fees.

2. Upon confirmation of booking a Post Natal Carer (MATERNITY NURSE) the Client will be charged relevant Agency fees as outlined in the Associated Schedule of Fees. The fee must be paid in Pounds Sterling prior to the date that the booking commences.

3. The Client will be charged a nightly/daily or weekly booking fee for each night/day or week the MATERNITY NURSE is booked. Any MATERNITY NURSE returning at a future date will incur further booking fees and the Agency must be notified of such an arrangement by the Client.

4. The Agency assumes that the details of the Engagement have been agreed between the Client and the MATERNITY NURSE unless the Client informs the Agency in writing to the contrary prior to the commencement of the Engagement.

5. The Client is liable to pay the MATERNITY NURSE at the end of each week she is booked.

6. The Agency acts as an introduction agency only and does not employ the MATERNITY NURSE who is self employed.

7.  All information is confidential and must not be passed to a third party, either directly or indirectly.
If information is passed to a third party and a MATERNITY NURSE is booked/engaged otherwise than through our Agency, this will constitute a breach of our terms, and our standard fees will be charged to the Client.

8. The Client must reimburse the MATERNITY NURSE any reasonable travelling expenses to the interview upon presentation of receipts.

9.  Agency fees are non-refundable.

During a booking, if unforeseen circumstances arise resulting in the departure of the MATERNITY NURSE, the Agency will offer an alternative candidate for the remainder of the booking if:

a	The Agency fee has been received by the due date.
b	The Agency is advised in writing as to the termination of the booking within 24 hours.
c	There has been no reasonable cause for the MATERNITY NURSE to terminate employment.

10.  If no suitable replacement can be found, the Agency Fee will be refunded pro rata.

11.  In the event that the Client wishes to cancel a booking prior to commencement, or terminate a booking that has already started, due to extenuating circumstances, the Agency reserves the right to retain the agency fees for work incurred. A guide to MATERNITY NURSE cancellation terms are detailed on the Associated Schedule of Fees.

12.  While the Agency endeavours to verify the background of staff introduced before employment commences, we cannot guarantee that all the information regarding the MATERNITY NURSE is accurate.
The Agency does not accept any liability whatsoever for misrepresentation, loss, damage, injury, delay, claims or expense of any description arising out of an introduction made by the Agency.

13.  Whilst the Agency ensures that a potential MATERNITY NURSE is interviewed personally and full reference checks are carried out, it is ultimately the sole responsibility of the Client to satisfy themselves’ as to the suitability of the MATERNITY NURSE. The Agency gives no guarantee regarding the capability, character, medical condition, age, or suitability of the MATERNITY NURSE. The final responsibility for employing a candidate lies with the Client.

14.  A fee of 6 x the weekly salary is payable for a MATERNITY NURSE who is subsequently booked as a NANNY by the Client.

15.  The Agency reserves the right to use its own discretion with regard to any issues arising not itemised in its terms.
